A national cinema with an under-rated body of work stretching from the early days of silents to the present. We offer a tiny sample of German filmmaking, from the Weimar Republic (Pandora's Box, with piano accompaniment by Neil Brand, and Metropolis) through the 1970s (The Tin Drum), and on the the present (My Best Friend - Klaus Kinski, and No Place To Go).
Featuring:
The Tin Drum (Volker Schlondorff, 1979)
