Willie
Parker (Stamp) used to be a gangster. After betraying
his former colleagues, he fled to Spain where
he thought he could hide from their vengeance.
For ten years he manages but one day two hitmen
kidnap him. Their orders are to escort him to
Paris where he is to stand ‘trial’. But it is
a long way to Paris...An offbeat crime drama featuring
excellent performances. All the usual conventions
and stereotyping are turned on their heads. Well
received on its release, The Hit made very little
impression at the box office. This is a rare screening;
do not let it go by this time round.
