Screening Notes

Rosetta (Emilie Dequenne) has it tough. Living in a trailer park on the edge of town with her promiscuous, alcoholic mother, she tries to hold on to any mundane job she can get, but for all her determination and hard work, a combination of sheer bad luck and her own surly, volatile disposition repeatedly tells against her. Life’s simply a matter of getting by, and even when Riquet (Fabrizio Rongione) starts showing interest, Rosetta, too caught up in her own travails for friendship, let alone anything more, barely acknowledges him, except as a means to a job. How long can she continue this way?
