A graceful, subtle film which probes the oppression and suffering
of Tunisian wives and mothers. Confined to the island of Djerba
while the men enjoy the freedom to live and work where they
will, returning for a month's 'season' to their families, the
women merit Tlatli's sensitive plea for understanding, compassion
and change.
