This is an ensemble piece in which we get involved with
the characters. We feel we are watching real flesh-and-blood
people go about their lives. It deals with some serious
issues but is not without humour or romance.
Is corporate development all bad? What impact has man had
on the environment and what is the on-going impact of that
habitation? When you are told, "People don't realise
how hard it is to invent a tradition", you know this
can only be America - but it also film making at its absolute
best.
Critics
"A
humane and moving film with real life values." BBCi
