Keswick Film Club - Reviews - Colours Of Time

Last Sunday we started our new season with ‘Colours of Time’, a French comedy drama which turned out to be very popular with a large audience in Keswick.

Starting in the present day, we followed four cousins investigating their common ancestor whose house had come down to them. Following the trail of pictures and letters they found there, they discovered that Adele had gone to Paris back in the 1920s, when she was 21, to find her mother, not seen since Adele was one.

The film skipped between these cousins and Adele beautifully, expanding Adele’s story along the way, so that we found out that her mother had become a sex worker, whilst her father was either a famous photographer or a famous Impressionist Artist...yup, no other than Monet himself.

It was a beautifully made film, with the timeslips fitting perfectly, and the whole cast acting well. A great start to the season, scoring almost 90% from our audience.
